A bull named "America" broke a record this weekend.
The 1,107 lb. bull sold for a record $1.51 million. The bull was on the block at Schaff Angus Valley's annual production sale near Saint Anthony, North Dakota.
America smashes the record set last year at the same auction of $800,000.
Agweb.com broke the news on its website Sunday saying, "In the sale book, America is described as standing out since day one. 'He presents himself with true herd bull authority – long bodied, thick, square-hipped, deep and massive with a sound structure, large scrotal and gentle disposition.'"
The sale has gone viral in this Facebook video.
Agweb.com reports 414 bulls and 205 cows were sold on Saturday grossing a total of $8,523,000.
