UPDATE: Oct. 26, 12:22 p.m.

COLUMBUS, Mont. - The Stillwater County Coroner's Office identified the two tow-truck drivers who died in Sunday's fatal crash on Interstate-90 near Columbus.

The two people are identified as Nicholas Ryan Visser, 37, of Billings and William Casie Allen, 28, of Reed Point, Montana.

A release from the Stillwater County Office of Sheriff and Coroner says they are still waiting on the medical results from the examiner; however, the cause of death is probably blunt force trauma for both people. 

The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.


Update as of 10 pm Sunday night:

According to a post by Hanser's Automotive, two of their workers were killed after a vehicle ignored warning signs and emergency responder flashers and hit them. 

The workers were responding to a breakdown incident on I-90 when the crash occurred.

The Montana Department of Transportation is reporting a fatal crash on I-90 10 miles east of Columbus at mile marker 414.

According to the MDT Travel Info map, the eastbound lane of I-90 in the area is fully blocked.

A detour is in place and anyone in the area should expect delays.

The incident was reported at 6:40 am and is currently under investigation.
