Helena Man Charged with Using Kids as Shields from Police

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found Saturday by rafters on the Clark Fork River.

Public Information Officer Brenda Bassett tells KULR-8 a call came in around 12:40 p.m. from rafters who reported they floated past a possible body on the south side of the river near the Reserve Street bridge.

The sheriff's office and the Missoula Police Department responded to the scene.

Search and rescue units were called to the scene. They put one boat in the water and recovered the body of an unidentified male.

Bassett said the body will be taken to the State Crime Lab in Missoula.
