Spirit of Giving for 2018 will happen Friday, December 7th with several locations where residents can drop off toys for children. One of those locations is Laurel Ford.
The dealership has been part of Spirit of Giving since 2012. General Manager for Laurel Ford, Eric Harkins explained that the event is an easy way to give back to the community. "Everybody gets excited about it, employees and customers alike. It's kind of a lot of fun to watch it happen on Friday morning."
The dealership opens at 8:00 a.m. Friday. "People start piling in right away and they start filling in the boxes and the bins that we have. The vans usually show up around 9:30-10:00 to set up and people are just rolling in."
Laurel Ford had enough toys last year to fill up about six bins. Harkins is hoping for even more this year. "Anything that you can give is greatly appreciated. It goes to a family and people that really need it. It's a great thing to get involved with."
Bins are also set up at Laurel Ford for food donations. They will be given to the Billings Food Bank.
