Two people were taken to St. Vincent Healthcare after a car accident on Blue Creek Road earlier on Sunday evening.
Two drivers in white pickup trucks were involved in a head-on collision at mile marker nine on Blue Creek Road at around 4 PM.
According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremy Lundblad, the driver of the Ford F-350 is a middle aged white male from Yellowstone County. The drive in the Ford F-150 has not been identified, but he is believed to be a young, Native American male from Pryor.
No other passengers were involved in the accident. The wreck shut down Blue Creek Road for several hours.
"The driver of the F-350 stated that the 150 swerved into his lane so he swerved into the Northbound lane to try to avoid the collision and was unable to. At this point, I believe that alcohol may be a factor and I'm unknown if speed or drugs has anything to do with this," said Trooper Lundblad.
No other passengers were involved.
The driver of the F-350 walked away from the accident and was taken to St. Vincent Healthcare.
The young driver involved was stuck in the truck for some time before crews were able to safely get him out of the vehicle.
He was taken to St. Vincent Healthcare by Helicopter in bad condition according to Trooper Lundblad.
