A high number of norovirus cases are reported in Montana.
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services announces 12 norovirus outbreaks in the state.
The agency states the outbreaks have sickened more than 250 people. DPHHS representatives say that's three times the number of outbreaks usually reported during this time of year.
The outbreaks happened in Yellowstone, Rosebud, Cascade, Flathead, Sanders and Valley counties.
They say most of the outbreaks happened in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
