The city of Great Falls is continuing to grow, bringing in several new businesses this year.
Despite the recent economic growth, the Great Falls Rescue Mission says the homeless population has stayed the same. They say they're serving about 200 homeless every day.
Becky Nelson at Great Falls Public Schools says this year, there are 370 reported homeless students.
Recent statistics show that there are over 500 homeless students throughout the city.
While recent job growth hasn't changed the number of homeless people, it's helped some to take a step in the right direction.
"More of our people are employed than probably have ever been, but one of the things that happens is that most jobs that are out there are part-time jobs. Very few people can make a wage that can support them on part-time jobs," Jim Kizer, Director of the Great Falls Rescue Mission.
Great Falls Rescue Mission has 26 classes to help people get on their feet. Classes range from applying for social security, financial responsibility, to basic parenting classes.
