The spirit of Montana, for me, is family and ranching. This picture was captured by my daughter, Courtney, when she and my grandchildren, Connor and Laura Peterson, were visiting a ranch. Both sets of the kids' grandparents raised Hereford cattle. I even met her in-laws before she was a twinkle in my eye! Not only does this picture capture the spirit of Montana, it also captures Montana's future.
