Billings Police Department shows support for Pack The Place In Pink event

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

The Billings Police Department is supporting breast cancer awareness by participating in a 'Pack the Place in Pink' event next week.

Tim Doll is the Skyview High School, school resource officer for the Billings Police Department. He said Pack the Place in Pink events have been held locally for years to raise money for local people who have or have had breast cancer. He said a Skyview volleyball coach asked him if he would be interested in wearing pink for the game on October 16th.

Doll contacted his superiors to see what they thought and they were all in. He said this is the BPD's way of showing support for their community.

"The community goes out of their way to support us. We've had a rough couple weeks and the community outcry to support us is huge all the time so this is our way of giving back to the city and showing that we support them."

The 'Pack the Place in Pink' event the Billings Police Department will be supporting is next week on October 16th at the volleyball game against Senior High located at Skyview High School.

Doll said this game will be rowdy and will fill up quickly so if you're planning to attend, get there early.
