MSU-Billings holds investiture to welcome new chancellor

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

A ceremony was held today at MSU-Billings to honor and welcome new chancellor, Dr. Dan Edelman, to the university.

The investiture was held earlier this evening at MSU-Billings inside Petro Theatre. Dozens of students, faculty, staff, and members of the public attended.
KULR-8 spoke with the chancellor who said it was an honorable and joyous occasion.

KULR-8 also spoke with Waded Cruzado, president of Montana State University, who explained what today's ceremony is all about.

"This is not only about Chancellor Edelman, right?" Cruzado said. "This is about the history of this place, of the generations of students that have come here, that believe in the promise of the Yellow Jacket team and all the wonderful things that it does for the community. So, it's a very special day for all of us."

President cruzado said if she can give Chancellor Edelman one piece of advice, she would say be yourself, be all in, and give yourself to the community. She said if he does that, everything will turn out wonderful.

KHQ.COM - Most mothers can only hope by the time their children grow up and move out of the house, they've learned all the necessary things to be a successful adult, including the basic knowledge that a turkey must be cooked in an oven, or perhaps in a smoker... NOT in a microwave. For this reason a new prank-challenge going around on Facebook is resulting in some hilarious text conversations between mothers and their grown children.
