The dirtiest place in an airport might not be what you think

You might be reaching for the hand sanitizer on your next trip.

A new study unveils the dirtiest place in an airport and it might not be what you think.

The study published in a medical journal discovered that security bins were found to carry the most germs than any other place in the airport.

Several items were tested ranging from handrails, toilets, to even toys at airport play areas. In the end, everything else in the airport was cleaner than the bin we put our shoes, jackets, and personal belongings into.

If you plan on traveling in the near future, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggests washing your hands frequently and using hand sanitizer to avoid getting sick.  The CDC also suggests to avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth as much as possible.
