Vendors selling President Trump merchandise flock to Billings

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

When the President comes to town it's not just him and the Secret Service, many vendors selling Trump merchandise also follow.
You may have seen a few around Billings this week as President Trump is scheduled to speak on Thursday, September 6th.
Why are the vendors in town so early?
They say there's a simple answer for that, people want to be prepared once Thursday hits and the vendors said they've been doing pretty well.
Many of the vendors said they travel the country selling merchandise.
Typically it's a seasonal thing but not with Donald Trump said vendor Jonathan Youngblood.
Youngblood said the vendor business can be tough with hecklers but he also gets a lot of thumbs ups and honks.
Youngblood added it's not an our side versus their side everyone's opinions matter.
Vendor Steve Fulks agreed.
Fulks said he's seen the economy in small towns grown since Trump has been President so he likes to sell his merchandise but there will always be opposition.
According to Fulks, "There's haters everywhere and there's haters for anything you do. You could be giving away ice cream cones and somebody is still going to be hating on you. I mean that's the standard."
Fulks and Youngblood both said their most popular item is still the "Make America Great Again" hats.
