Domino's Pizza to fix Havre's potholes

Posted: Updated:

HAVRE - The town of Havre is home to the Blue Ponies, Lights, Skylights and many many potholes. Now, thanks to thousands of voters and Domino's Pizza those potholes are about to be fixed.

The pizza company launched a campaign on social media asking people to vote for a town that needed pothole repairs. Domino's says 137,000 people voted representing 15,275 different zip codes.

Domino announced that the 10 winners, which included Havre, would receive $5,000 towards pothole repair. They said the program was so successful they have extended it to give the grants to one city in every state.

“The overwhelming response that customers had to this program will mean more pizzas arriving safely in communities across all 50 states,” said Ritch Allison, CEO of Domino’s.

According to the Havre Herald, potholes have been a constant complaint of Havre drivers, but twice voters have turned down multi-million-dollar proposals aimed at solving the problem.

There is still a little paperwork to be filled out before the city officially receives the money but they hope to start working on the potholes this fall.
