BOZEMAN -

A memorial service to honor the victims of a fatal boating accident is set for Monday in Bozeman.

Angie Anderson, wife of Gallatin County Sheriff’s Captain Jim Anderson, died during a family boating trip on July 27. The drift boat the family was in capsized on the Yellowstone River near Livingston. Jim, his daughter Nicole and a family friend were able to swim to safety. Angie died as a result of the accident. James Anderson, 15, remains missing.

A service for Angie and James is planned for Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bozeman.

According to the church website, the service will also be streamed at a second location. “In anticipation of a large crowd of attendees, a secondary site, where the service will be streamed, has been established at Springhill Presbyterian Church, 4769 West Babcock, Bozeman, MT  59718,” reads a web post.

Additional information about the service and ways to support the Anderson family can be found here.
