Search underway for armed suspect near Bozeman Pass

BOZEMAN -

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office is looking for an armed suspect after a shootout with law enforcement overnight.

Officers are looking for 36-year-old Shaunesy Cole, who ran away after the shootout late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Cole is described as Caucasian, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and about 170 pounds with a red Mohawk haircut that was pressed down. He has numerous tattoos on his legs, arms and hands.

Law enforcement says they believe Cole is in the Quinn Creek area in Bozeman Pass.

Everyone in that area is urged to remain inside their homes, with their doors locked. Law enforcement officers are currently searching the area and will be moving around the houses. They also ask if someone who is not in uniform comes to your home, call 911.
