Father dead, son in jail after stabbing in Whitefish

A father is dead and his is son is in jail after an stabbing incident in the Whitefish area Monday. 

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Monday on Wilderness Lane, after a passerby saw a struggle between two men. 

Deputies reportedly found Eric Kevin Hosek, 65, with multiple stab wounds. He was deceased when law enforcement arrived. 

Eric's son Tanner Hosek, 26, was taken to North Valley Hospital to be treated for injuries. He was then transported to the Flathead County Jail where he is being held for deliberate homicide, pending formal charges. 

The Flathead County Sheriff's is continuing to investigate the incident.
