Billings TrailNet hosts it's 3rd annual Tour De Fleur.

The event includes a 1.5 mile or 5 mile ride with food, games and more.

The event kicks off with live music, raffles and giveaways followed by a bike ride where participants are showered with flower petals.

"It's an event about our community, and families coming together and friends," said bike rider Kathy Wilkinson. "I'm doing it with a couple of my friends and so we're the fairy team and it's just a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon."

Tour De Fleur invites women and children for a bike ride around the conservation area, their message is to boost women's empowerment and build community involvement."

"We are just wanting women to get out there and feel safe and ride their bikes," said Lynn Harper, Billings TrailNet event manager. "We have about 200 people signed up here today so we are super excited."

Harper says Billings TrailNet is working to unveil new projects in the near future.

She says meeting with community members at Tour De Fleur is a good way to get people involved.

"We are working on the Sky Line Trail and we are kicking that off this summer and so the money we raise today will go towards that," Harper adds.
