Dead man found by morning jogger

Early this morning, the Billings Police Department and medical crews responded to a call of a sick or injured person on the 22-hundred block of 1st Avenue North.

Sgt. Harley Cagle with the Billings Police Department said a morning jogger found an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk.

Medical determined the 62-year-old man was dead, and stayed on the scene to investigate the incident.

It has been determined that there was nothing suspicious on scene, and the man was a possible transient.

The incident is still under investigation.

    Friday night storms sparked a few new fire starts throughout Montana.  Madison County Emergency Management reports the storm sparked two new fires in their county around 6 p.m. The first was up Standard Creek. Crews were able to keep that fire to less than an acre.  The second fire was outside of Norris on Sterling Road.
