BILLINGS, Mont. -

The candidate chosen to replace Billings Public Schools Superintendent Terry Bouck has declined the position.

Following phone conversations with Dr. Ross Kasun, Kasun has decided to stay in New Jersey. According to a press release, Kasun said the timing is just not right for him to make such a significant professional and personal change, largely because of recent events in his life.

Kasun explained it was not anything the district or the board did or did not offer.
