If you're looking to get out there for summer --
for the first time "Kampgrounds of America" is offering a grant called "get out there."
It's for families who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford a family trip exploring.
Anyone qualifies for the grant and you could win as much as $5,000.
There's over 500 KOA locations between America and Canada. Patrick Hittmeier, CEO for KOA, says the "Get Out There" grant is meant to help people who want to go exploring at places like Yellowstone National Park, but need a base camp.
"The idea of the "Get Out There" grant was to assist individuals that might have this desire to go out and do something a little bit adventurous, but need some money to help them achieve that, Hittmeier, says.
He says this is going beyond camping, KOA wants this grant to help someone get the chance for an adventure or dream they might have thought was not possible, like climbing the Grand Tetons or rafting a river.
