YOUR HEALTH: E. Coli outbreak worst in years

The romaine lettuce E. Coli outbreak that has now spread to 19 states is the biggest outbreak in the united states in twelve years according to the CDC.

An additional 31 people have now fallen ill from eating lettuce traced to Yuma, Arizona, bringing the total to 84.

At least 42 people have been hospitalized in this particular outbreak, a higher number than usual.

The CDC is continuing to warn consumers not to eat any form of romaine lettuce.

So far, Pennsylvania has seen the most number of cases followed by California and Idaho.

The CDC has not identified a common grower, supplier, distributor or brand responsible for the outbreak at this time.

No deaths have been reported.
