After a two game sweep of Bitterroot to start the season on Saturday, the Billings Royals continued their success in game one versus Bozeman on Sunday. The Royals came away with a 1-0 win in 10 innings versus the Bucks at Pirtz Park, as Cade Torgerson hit the walk off RBI to bring home Atticus Bryan.
Things were a bit different in game two, however. Both teams managed to bring in a run after the first inning, and Billings saw a 4-1 lead open up after four innings of play, but a five run fifth inning for Bozeman was difference as the Bucks took game two 6-4. The Royals loaded the bases several times in the game, but were unable to cash in, and that lack of runs came to haunt them. In the fifth inning where Bozeman scored their game clinching five runs, the Bucks loaded the bases, and continued to bring in run after run, forcing Billings to rotate pitchers.
The Royals will return to action on Sunday, April 29th in a double header at Laurel.
