Rocky Wraps Up Spring Football with Scrimmage

Posted: Updated:

No starting quarterback has been named for the 2018 Rocky Mountain College football season, and no one will probably be named until the final week of fall camp. As the Battlin' Bears wrapped up their spring football camp with their scrimmage, it was clear, this fall will be an open competition for the starting signal caller. Sophomore Drew Korf came into camp looking to put his stamp on the team after taking over late last season, and was impressive with his arm in the scrimmage. Redshirt freshman Nate Dick, transferring from Montana, showed the fans what he can do with his feet, but threw the only interception of the day between the three quarterbacks. The final signal caller was Jacob Bakken, who came in as last year's starter, but tore his ACL, and as a result was unable to play in the contact portion of the scrimmage, but showed his throwing skills in 7-on-7 play.
