Glacier National Park evacuation warnings lifted

GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, Mont. -

Evacuation warnings in Glacier National Park caused by the Sprague fire have been lifted Saturday morning.

Evacuations have been lifted in the following areas in Glacier National Park and Flathead County; the Apgar area including Apgar campground and Apgar village, portions of West Glacier including West Glacier Village, Highline Blvd. neighborhood, Golf Course neighborhood, Wild River Dr. and Grouse Ridge Rd neighborhood, and west toward Sloan Lane neighborhood, and finally the Moose City area of the North Fork.

Evacuations remain by Lake McDonald and Logan Pass. Logan Pass is still accessible from Saint Mary.

    Alcohol is to blame for a single vehicle rollover crash on Highway 15 near Clancy Sunday afternoon. The female driver was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. According to Police, the driver was drunk at the time of the crash. Witnesses say the driver was traveling over 100 MPH and tried to light a cigarette causing her car to go over the median and rollover. Thankfully no one else was injured…Police say they do plan to file charges against the driver and want to remind ...

    According to Montana Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old Missoula man is dead after crashing his motorcycle just after 8:00pm Friday. The accident happened on US Highway 93 southbound near Lolo. Roads were dry, and speed, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors.  According to troopers, the driver failed to negotiate his Harley Davidson at a lefthand curve, and struck the concrete barrier. He was thrown from the bike, struck a sign, struck a tree, and came to rest in the bottom ...
