The Skyview girls had a rough season last year, finishing with only four wins, which included none in the month of February. But it wasn't exactly unexpected as the Falcons were led by only one senior, and had a lot of inexperience across the board. This year the Falcons return a ton of depth after only losing one player from last year's squad, and they're actually hoping people think they're the same team as last year. Because they feel an underdog role suits them.
"Last year we had a really tough year because of our age," said Falcons head coach Jim Wilsey. "We only had one senior last year, this year we have five, and all of them have tons of varsity experience from last year. So we played real young last year, and we're excited about it this year."
"Hopefully teams underestimate us, because that would work in our favor," said Falcons senior post Briana Guse. "You have to act like you have nothing to lose, and you just go as hard as you can, and there's nothing to lose."
