Firefighters deliver roses to heroic women

Posted: Updated:

Saturday morning, local heroes in uniforms passed the cape and pink roses to some strong heroic women.

In the inaugural year for "Heroes Bouquet" for cancer survivors, firefighters from Yellowstone County went door to door with a surprise for survivors.

Billings, Lockwood and Shepherd delivered bouquets of pink roses from Gainans in their fire trucks. Survivors say they were thrilled friends and family called in the bouquet orders.

"I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on the first day of school. I'm a teacher so that was really tough. Always tears of gratitude, it's incredible how incredibly kind people are. People have come out of the wood works so to help and support to provide for us," Kacey Olson, Breast Cancer fighter said.

All proceeds will go to Pack the Place in Pink Foundation of Yellowstone County.
