Big Game Donations

BILLINGS, Mont. -

Deer and elk general hunting season gets underway starting Saturday, October 22nd.

If you aren't shooting the animals for consumption, and you're unsure what to do with your big game, KULR-8 has a solution for you.

We spoke with a local meat market, who accepts big game donations, such as antelope, deer, and elk, to donate back to local organizations. 4th Avenue Meat Market has been doing this for over 20 years now, donating your contributions to the Billings Food Bank and the Wounded Warrior Project.

What does it cost you? Owner, Kevin Harrell, said all he's asking for is a small donation to help with the processing costs. He said through the hunting season, they usually receive 100 or so wild game.

“It's nice to be able to do that. We see a lot of needy families out there and knowing that we can provide a meal to them is really nice,” said Harrell.

If you're interested in donating your meat, you can bring your wild game to 4th Avenue Meat Market, in downtown Billings.
