DUI treatment court loses funding

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Some services for the Billings Adult DUI treatment court, through Billings Municipal Court, end after a grant runs out.

Randi Felton with the treatment court says the funding ended on September 30th.

She says they can continue with treatment, but they won't be able to provide other services like home visits and the random alcohol test.

Felton says the typical cost for a year of treatment court is $100,000.

She says they will apply for another grant in January, but won't know if they will receive it until next September.

The treatment court is a volunteer intervention program.

If you think you can help the treatment court, call Randi at 237-6281.
