Former Griz Mariani Signs with Tennessee

Posted: Updated:

Former Montana wide receiver Marc Mariani has signed a free agent contract with the Tennessee Titans. The Titans drafted Mariani in the seventh round of the 2010 draft, where he became a star returner, making the Pro Bowl in only his rookie season. He played two seasons with the Titans before missing both the 2013 and 2014 seasons due to injury, where he then moved on to play the past two seasons with the Chicago Bears. Mariani is excited to return to the place that welcomed him as a rookie, and hopes to make an impact on the team.

"I didn't want to leave the first time, and I'm excited to be on a team and with an organization that I love and that has treated me so well," said Mariani. "And also a team that I really think I can help, and wants me to come contribute. It feels good to be wanted down here, and like I said, I'm excited to get things rolling."
