Rocky Wide Outs Using Numbers to Replace McCollouch

Posted: Updated:

One of the biggest questions in camp is how do the Battlin' Bears replace three time NAIA All American wide out Andre McCollouch? Well with a host of new wide outs in addition to last year's second leading receiver Tyrell McGee, Rocky knows that in order to replace an All American, it takes more than one player.

"We brought some guys in, I mean Dre was really good so there's no filling his shoes, we've just got a different pair of shoes on," said McGee. "We've got guys that are ready to go, and we're excited."

"It's got to be spread across the board, it can't be any one person that's going to replace Dre, he's a special player," said Bears head coach Jason Petrino. "But we're going to lean on a lot of different people, and it's not just in the passing game. We've got to be able to run the ball efficiently, and then at the same time we've got to have guys that have been in the program, and guys that have come in here and stepped in this summer, and expect them to make the plays that they've made during our time here together."
