Former NFLer and Columbus Native Dwan Edwards Retires at Annual Camp

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Today Dwan Edwards worked with over 100 local kids from grades five through eighth at his seventh annual football camp to teach them the skills they'd need to be able to get themselves to the pros. Joining Edwards were coaches from his alma mater Oregon State, as well as his former Carolina Panther teammate Kony Ealy. Last season Edwards was a key part of the defensive line for the Panthers, who made it all the way to the Super Bowl, but after being released in March, he's hanging up the cleats and is excited to start his post football career.

"A lot of family time I'm looking forward to enjoying myself some vacation rooting for the Panthers," said Edwards. "I'll always be a Panthers fan but I'm just looking forward to just some time off seeing, taking my time seeing what's next for me."
