Mustangs Rookies Excited to Start in Billings

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

The 2016 Billings Mustangs have officially arrived. This year's class is headlined by the number two overall pick in this year's MLB draft in Tennessee third baseman Nick Senzel. Also joining the class is the Reds 2016 second round pick, catcher Chris Okey. Today the players took team photos as well as got fitted for jerseys, they even had to pull the stickers off their new game hats. And after talking to these guys it's clear that it's a dream come true to be in Billings.

"It's awesome," said Senzel. "Feeling that jersey on for the first time, even if it's just for a picture, there's no feeling like it, and I can't wait to wear one tomorrow."

"It feels incredible," said Okey. "It's incredible, it's a dream come true, it really is. Hopefully it's the beginning of a long journey. I'm grateful to the Reds for the opportunity. I'm excited to play, and I can't wait for tomorrow night."

Opening Day for the Mustangs is Friday, June 17 when they host the Missoula Osprey.
