HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Montana's Senate president says state lawmakers should pass a long-overdue measure to raise future legislators' pay and not worry about the potential fallout from constituents. Republican Senate President Scott Sales of Bozeman volunteered to sponsor the legislation after hesitation by other members of the Legislative Council last week.

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - The state Board of Regents has approved 2 percent pay raises for 13 top administrators within the Montana university system. Under the raises the presidents of the University of Montana and Montana State University along with the commissioner of higher education will be paid just over $320,000 a year.

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Billings Clinic officials have announced plans to build a physician group practice, urgent care and outpatient surgical center in Bozeman. Billings Clinic expects to break ground on the $35 million to $40 million project next year and have it open within three years.

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - State health officials say more than $5 million will be put into a five-year project to help pregnant women who are experiencing mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Goals of the five-year grants include improving timely access and outcomes for pregnant and postpartum women, and reducing rates of drug-positive newborns and the number of children in Montana's foster care system.
