Research could lead to medicine to help body heal from some MS damage
BILLINGS, Mont. -
We are a little more than two weeks away from this year's Walk MS: Billings. The event raises money in the fight against multiple sclerosis and helps increase awareness around MS.
Doctor Kris French, a neurologist at St. Vincent healthcare says MS affects the central nervous system. Dr. French says there is no cure, but there are medicines that can help.
He says right now, there is no medicine that can help the body heal, but there is some of what he calls *star warsy research* that might help, "Things that can kind of help the body heal the areas where the myelin has been lost in the brain and the spinal cord"
KULR-8 and the MS Society would like to thank all of you who helped the MS Society last night with a donation. Perhaps you even registered for the upcoming MS Walk.
In an hour-and-a-half, you donated just under $1,000 for the organization in their fight against MS. This year's MS Walk: Billings is April 30th.
You still have time to register to walk. You can do that by going to our connections tab.
