Current candidate list for 2016 Montana Elections

BILLINGS, Mont. -

UPDATE:  Former Miles City Representative and Democrat Bill McChesney filed to run for Governor late Friday evening.


By Monday evening we will know who is running for political office in Montana.

Monday at 5:00p.m. is the official cut off for candidates to file to be in the June primary.

So far current Governor Steve Bullock has filed for re-election. Republican Greg Gianforte has filed to run against him.

For U.S. House, incumbent Ryan Zinke has filed for re-election and current Superintendent of Public Instruction, Democrat Denise Juneau, has filed to run against him.

Two people have filed so far to run for Secretary of State, current State Auditor Monica Lindeen and former State Senator Corey Stapleton.

For State Auditor, Jesse Laslovich and Matt Rosendale have filed.

In the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction, Elsie Arntzen and Melissa Romano have filed.
