The man accused of causing a wreck last summer on Highway 312 near Huntley is charged with multiple felonies.
23-year old Dallas McGuire is charged with five felony counts of criminal endangerment and a misdemeanor DUI charge.
Montana Highway Patrol was called to the Huntley bridge around 8:30am on June 11, 2014. Court documents state troopers determined that McGuire tried to pass another vehicle across a double yellow line at a high rate of speed.
Documents state a van was traveling towards McGuire in the opposite lane, when he careened off the left-side guardrail and hit the van head-on. A mother and four children, all six and under, were in the van. The children sustained some minor cuts and bruises.
A blood sample sent to the Montana State Crime Lab determined McGuire's blood alcohol content was almost twice the legal limit.
