There's a warrant out for the arrest of America's most famous rodent: Punxsutawney Phil! The Merrimack Police Department in New Hampshire posted a Facebook message Tuesday jokingly issuing a warrant out for the arrest of the groundhog because of the brutal East Coast winter conditions. The post reads: "He told several people that winter would last 6 more weeks, however he failed to disclose that it would consist of mountains of snow!" The post warns the groundhog that he'll be taken into custody.
Merrimack Police Chief Mark Doyle says the tongue-in-cheek idea came to him after discussing the three major snow storms that have hit New England since January 27.
