Carroll Student Nurses Lead Shodair Gift Drive

Posted: Updated:
There are about 10,000 children that live with a serious mental health condition in the state of Montana.  Shodair Children's Hospital, which started as an orphanage for abandoned children, is the only psychiatric treatment facility for kids ages 3-18 yrs in the state.  Each year the Carroll College Student Nurses Association (CCSNA) gets together to collect as many items (clothing and toys) for the children in the hospital.

Items needed are: Hoodies (no strings), boys shoes (sizes: 2,5,6,13), girls shoes (sizes: 3,7,8), socks, hats and gloves, soft sole slippers, board games, Barbies, Legos, colored pencils, crayons, coloring books, CD Players.  Any toys or clothing, but please no sharp items.

CCSNA is also taking gift cards, which allow nurses to shop for the items a child really needs.  You can drop off any donations at boxes around Carroll's campus; in the first floor of Simperman Hall in the Scola center, and main entrance of O'Connell Hall.  There is another drop box at CostCare.   For more information visit the Carroll College website, and click on the student life page.
