A candle light vigil was held Monday to honor Ruth Martinez who died from multiple stab wounds early Friday morning.
Close to 60 people showed up for the remembrance, which included a sermon and stories from family and friends.
Family and friends described Martinez as a person who could brighten up anyone's day even if they were having the worst day of their life.
Martinez was also remembered as someone who always cared and would help people through everything.
Charging papers say Martinez was stabbed to death following a fight with 22-year-old Jamie Jo Broken Rope outside of Lee's Saloon on South 27th Street.
