300 Volunteers Prep For Huge Fundraiser

BILLINGS -

This weekend is one of the biggest annual fund-raising events in Montana.

Volunteers worked hard all day to get everything ready for Saturday's Billings Clinic Classic.

Organizers were out since early Friday morning and a lot of the crew out here are volunteers.

Every year Billings Clinic hopes to raise a million dollars between golf tournaments and Saturday's black-tie event.

It's the main fundraiser for Billings Clinic, and it wouldn't be such a hit without the 300 volunteers.

We spoke with one volunteer who's spent many years as a volunteer.

"I think it's been 19 or 20 years. I've been here a long time. I'm a former ICU nurse at Billings Clinic. I just wanted to stay involved with the clinic. It's infectious. everybody is so great to work with," says Liz Fulton, Classic Volunteer.

This year Grammy Award Winner Leann Rimes will be headlining the concert at the Alberta Bair.

They've sold more than 1,400 tickets for the concert and organizers say the concert sold out between 2 and 3 days.

Proceeds this year will go towards the Pediatric Inpatient Care Unit at Billings Clinic.
