Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -  Searchers have recovered the body of a Georgia man who went missing in Yellowstone National Park last week. Twenty-two year old Darien Latty went inner tubing on the Lamar River with friends on August 11th. When he and his friends reached the Yellowstone River, Latty was separated from his inner tube and was swept away. More than 50 people joined the search party, which also included three dog teams and a helicopter. On Friday night, searchers believed they found a body pinned in a dangerous section of the river. The following day, a water rescue team from Gallatin County arrived and was able to recover the body. Latty had been working as a seasonal employee at the Roosevelt Lodge.
