BILLINGS, Mont. - Treasure County Volunteer Firefighters battled a blaze which was likely ignited from a train passing by Saturday afternoon.

According to Treasure County Sheriff, Wayne Robison, the fire scorched nearly 500 acres of private land. No structures were lost in the blaze, but a few non-life threatening injuries were reported. Treasure County Volunteer Firefighters and responders from the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation were on site to mop up the remains. According to Sheriff Robison, a helicopter was brought in, and rancher was on site with heavy equipment to make sure the fire line is contained. Witnesses said the fire is located south of the Yellowstone River and West of the Hysham Hills. At last word, authorities were still on site to monitor the contained fire lines.
