A skateboarder was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after being hit by a suspected drunk driver. Billings Police say they were called to North 32nd Street and 6th Avenue North around 3:30. The skateboarder, a 24-year old from Denver, had attempted to cross the street in a crosswalk, but did not have a walk light. The driver of a Honda Civic, Jden Harmala, went through the intersection with a green light, but struck the skateboarder, then left the scene. Harmala then parked his car several blocks away and walked back, where officers took him into custody on suspicion of drunk driving. The skateboarder was taken to St. Vincent Healthcare. Police declined to comment on the severity of his injuries.
