BILLINGS -

The trial has been scheduled for the man accused in the stabbing death of Billings philanthropist and photographer Michael Sample.

Zachariah Wiseman’s trial is scheduled for October 29th. He is charged with one felony count of deliberate homicide.

Court documents indicate Wiseman was under the influence of a drug at the time of the alleged attack.

In June, police responded to a stabbing on north 24th street. They found Sample with stab wounds and Wiseman being held to the ground by two men. Sample later died from his injuries at a hospital.

Witnesses say they saw Sample and Wiseman talking at the back door of the business, when Wiseman attacked sample. Court documents indicate wiseman was asking sample if he could work for money.

Wiseman remains in the Yellowstone County Detention Facility with bond set at $500,000.
