BILLINGS, Mont. - Major Renea Dorvall has had a storied, over two decade career in the military.

In continuing with her record of excellence, Maj. Dorvall accepted the position of Battalion Commander of the 190th Combat Service Support Battalion.

Though she is the first female to hold the position, her colleagues said her accomplishments and not gender were the reason she was selected. It wasn't until after her selection it was realized she was the first female to hold the position.

Major Dorvall is humbled by opportunity and says her appointment to do this position shows anyone in the military can go as far as they want with a lot of work and determination.
