KHQ.COM - KHQ photographer, Reed Schmitt enjoys taking photographs as a hobby. We are very lucky to have him on our team and wanted to share some of his recent work from a trip he took to the San Juan Islands. He photographed orcas, foxes, eagles and deer.

The Orcas were photographed 6/16/14 from a Washington State Ferry in the San Juan Islands and on 6/17/14 on San Juan Island from West Side Rd south of Lime Kiln Point State Park and from South Beach.

The Foxes and Eagles were photographed 6/17/14 and 6/19/14 on San Juan Island near Roche Harbor Rd at the north end of the island.

The deer photograph was taken 6/17/14 at American Camp which is where US soldiers were stationed during the Pig War from 1859 until 1872.
