Raspberry Pi

BILLINGS - Some kids in Billings are learning valuable computer skills at a MSUB City College camp.

Instructors show sixth through ninth grade students the basics of Raspberry Pi -- a pocket-sized computer designed to teach computer science in schools. The kids build the computer piece by piece, and then learn coding basics -- such as programming games.

"The world is going to change into a technology and programming based place," said camper Bryn Turnquist. "And I think all the kids should learn, because most of the jobs in the future are probably going to require this skill."

Another Raspberry Pi camp takes place next week. Kids will learn the science behind the game 'Minecraft.'

Students must have a 3.0 GPA and a letter of recommendation to attend.
