East West Shrine Game Next Month

BILLINGS -

The annual event benefiting the Shiners Hospitals for Children is coming up next month. It’s the 68th Montana East West Shrine game.

The game brings together top athletes from high school to play to raise funds to provide care for kids with orthopedic needs.

Addison, 6, lost her legs when she was two years old in a lawn mowing accident. She receives prosthetic legs and care from the Shriners Hospital in Spokane, allowing her to run around and participate in the same activities as other children.

"When I grow up I just want to be a pediatric doctor and help little kids like Dr. Cassidy does,” Addison said.

"It means the world to me to be a part of this, to see Addison grow up and thrive and do amazing things,” said Kristin Monasmith, Shriners Hospital for Children in Spokane’s PR director. “And that's what we're really all about; getting kids back to being kids. That’s really what we want to do.”

The event will take place on July 18 and 19.
