Perilous Potholes

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS - The occasional pothole is expected when you're a driver. However, residents living along Lincoln Lane in the Heights, deal with potholes more close in size to manhole covers, if not larger.

Bill Klundt says people familiar with Lincoln Lane slow down because they know it could land their car in the repair shop if they take the road too fast.

Dorene Mattson has lived on Lincoln since the late 70's.  She says the road hasn't been given a permanent fix because the city and county can't quite reach an agreement on what should be done to the road, which is the physical boundary between Billings and Yellowstone County property.

Clay Moore with Yellowstone County Public Works says his organization and Billings Public Works are working together to address the situation on Lincoln Lane.  They are hopeful a solution to the problems on Lincoln Lane will be addressed in the not so distant future.

Carbon County has moved on to Stage Two restrictions, which set limits on certain work that can be done during the hot hours of the day. Decisions like these aren't just made by the county, however.
