Some of the Best in Show

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

For three days, some of the most well groomed and well behaved dogs make their home in Billings.

Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club hosts their Annual Confirmation Show at MetraPark.

Assistant Show Chair, Patrick Jones, says people come from all over to this event.

People traveled from as far away as Louisiana and even crossed the border U.S., Canada border to come to this event.

Tonia Holibaugh, a Maltese groomer, breeder, and handler for over 20 years, says events like this are ideal for small dogs.

She also says people have a lot of misconceptions concerning dog shows.  Holibaugh says the shows promote keeping your dogs in tip top shape, along with establishing good, lifetime habits.

Jones says these shows provide a great bonding experience for the pet and their owner.

Thursday, June 19th is the last day for the event. It's held at MetraPark Pavilion from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
